Overview

Duties

  • Assist with daily patient care activities, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support for individuals with memory loss and/or receiving hospice care.
  • Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems such as Epic or Cerner
  • Support medical procedures such as medication administration, and wound care following established protocols and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety and confidentiality
  • Maintain detailed medical documentation and records of patient interactions, treatments, and observations in compliance with healthcare standards and legal requirements
  • Assist nursing staff with assessments and basic physiology knowledge to support comprehensive patient care plans
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate home & community care services for individuals with disabilities or chronic conditions
  • Follow infection control procedures diligently to prevent the spread of illness while providing compassionate care in a home like setting.

Qualifications

  • Valid certification as a CMA or CNA from the state of Kansas; prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care is preferred
