Duties

• Provide direct patient care including assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts.
• Monitor vital signs and observe patient conditions, documenting changes accurately within Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
• Support patients with specialized needs including dementia care, Alzheimer's care, behavioral health support, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Maintain infection control protocols through aseptic techniques and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Utilize medical terminology knowledge to accurately document patient information and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification or equivalent credential; experience in healthcare settings preferred.
• Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations such as seniors in assisted living or nursing homes; long-term care experience highly valued.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems
• Knowledge of vital signs measurement, anatomy, physiology, and infection control practices including aseptic technique.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting patients using Hoyer lifts and assisting with mobility needs.
