DSP/Caregiver (Female needed)

Job Summary

The Direct Support Professional (DSP)/Caregiver plays a crucial role in providing compassionate care and support seniors in their own homes and people with developmental disabilities or special needs. This position involves assisting clients in their daily activities, promoting independence, and enhancing their quality of life. The ideal candidate is patient, compassionate, and reliable. Duties

• Assist clients with personal care tasks including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Support individuals in meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition.
• Implement and monitor care plans tailored to each client's needs.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
• Assist with errands and shopping
• Assist with mobility needs, including lifting and transferring clients as necessary.
• Support clients with daily living skills and encourage independence in their routines.
• Offer specialized care for individuals with conditions such as dementia or those requiring hospice care.

Skills/Qualifications

• Experience in direct support or patient care is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of working with people with disabilities/seniors and understanding their unique needs.
• Familiarity with developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual requirements.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
• Ability to lift clients safely and assist them with mobility challenges.
• Proficient in meal preparation, ensuring dietary restrictions are met.
• Compassionate demeanor combined with patience and resilience when dealing with challenging situations.
