Overview

Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where your compassionate care and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients. In this vital role, you will provide personalized support to individuals in our AFH. Your expertise in patient observation, medication administration, and assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) will ensure our residents receive the highest quality of care. This paid position offers an engaging opportunity to work with dementia and Hospice clients.

8 hour shifts.

Day shift Wednesday-Sunday. 6am-2pm

Evening shift -Friday-Tuesday. 2pm- 10pm

Duties

• Monitor and observe patients’ conditions regularly, documenting vital signs and medical changes accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
• Assist residents with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts and ensuring safety protocols are followed
• Administer medications following prescribed protocols while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality
• Support patients with specialized needs including Alzheimer’s care, memory care, dementia care, and hospice care by providing compassionate companionship and tailored assistance
• Perform catheter care, wound dressing changes, and other medical procedures as directed by nursing staff or healthcare providers
• Help with meal preparation and feeding for residents requiring assistance; ensure proper nutrition and hydration are maintained
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and records of patient care activities in compliance with healthcare standards and facility policies

Experience

• Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred
