Home Health Aide

Job Overview

The Home Health Aide/Direct Care Worker provides non-medical personal care and supportive services to clients in their homes. Services are designed to assist clients with daily living activities while promoting independence, dignity, and safety in accordance with agency policies and applicable state guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including:
• Bathing
• Dressing
• Grooming
• Toileting
• Mobility assistance
• Assist with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs), including:
• Meal preparation
• Light housekeeping
• Laundry
• Shopping (if authorized)
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Provide medication reminders only (no administration)
• Observe and report changes in client condition to the agency
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients
• Follow client care plans and service schedules
• Accurately document services provided (visit logs/EVV)
• BCI Background Check Required
• Current CPR certification is required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
