Home Health Aide

Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor and observe patients’ health status, including vital signs and overall condition
• Administer medication reminders and assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare providers
• Support clients with specialized needs such as Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, memory care, and hospice care
• Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to document medical records accurately and maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Use medical terminology appropriately to record observations and communicate effectively with healthcare teams
• Employ assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and perform catheter care safely when required
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and assist with meal planning and preparation
• Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment for clients
• Support clients in community outings or errands to promote social engagement and independence

Requirements

• Proven experience in home health care, assisted living, nursing homes or long-term care environments
• Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and documentation procedures
