Duties

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
  • Monitor and document patient observations, including vital signs and overall health status, using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
  • Administer medications and manage medical documentation in compliance with home healthcare regulations and HIPAA privacy standards
  • Support clients with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, hospice care, and end-of-life support
  • Operate medical equipment including Hoyer lifts, catheters, and other assistive devices safely and effectively
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping tasks like cleaning and laundry to promote a safe living environment
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care plans are followed accurately

Skills

  • Strong patient observation skills to detect changes in health or behavior promptly
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, geriatrics, or in assisted living environments
  • Proficiency in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems for accurate documentation of care activities
