Home Health Aide

Duties

• Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor and observe patient health status, including vital signs and overall condition, reporting changes promptly to healthcare professionals
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to medical guidelines and safety protocols
• Support patients with specialized care needs such as Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, hospice care, or end-of-life care
• Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to document patient information accurately and maintain medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks like cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation to promote a safe and comfortable environment
• Use assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs safely during transfers and mobility assistance

Skills

• Strong patient observation skills to detect changes in health or behavior promptly
• Experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home healthcare environments
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures related to home health services
