About the Role

Agnes & Sandy’s Caring Hands is seeking dependable, compassionate caregivers and CNAs to provide individualized home care, with a focus on dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and memory care.

Actual dementia care experience is required. Companionship experience alone is not sufficient. Experienced caregivers without CNA certification are welcome to apply.

Our care partners must communicate professionally, engage comfortably with clients and families, and build trusting relationships inside the home.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and other daily care needs.
• Support safe mobility, transfers, and fall prevention within your training.
• Provide dementia care using patience, reassurance, routines, and appropriate redirection.
• Offer engaging companionship and activities suited to the client.
• Prepare meals and support hydration according to the care plan.
• Provide authorized medication reminders.
• Complete client-related light housekeeping and laundry.
• Document care accurately and promptly report changes or concerns.
• Communicate respectfully with clients, family members, and agency staff.
• Follow care plans, confidentiality requirements, and safety procedures.
• Arrive on time and accurately record all time worked.

Qualifications

• Hands-on dementia or Alzheimer’s care experience.
• Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
• Professionalism, patience, dependability, and sound judgment.
• Ability to follow care instructions and complete documentation.
• Reliable transportation to assigned client locations.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain both with a hands-on skills assessment before assignments.
• Completion of GCHEXS background screening, required TB screening, and other hiring requirements.
• Professional references who can verify caregiving experience and work performance.
• Current, verifiable CNA credential if applying as a CNA.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Pay & Scheduling

Pay is $17–$20 per hour. Assignments depend on client needs, qualifications, location, and confirmed availability. Hours are not guaranteed.
