Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
• Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately to healthcare professionals.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding as required, ensuring safety and proper nutrition.
• Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations, maintaining meticulous documentation of medication schedules and patient responses.
• Support clients with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease through memory care strategies and personalized engagement.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks like cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces.
• Document all care activities thoroughly while respecting patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards.

Skills

• Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in assisted living environments.
