Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using manual handling techniques like Hoyer lifts when necessary
• Monitor patients’ health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately while adhering to HIPAA privacy standards
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with feeding as needed
• Administer medications safely following care plans and document medication administration accurately
• Support clients with cognitive impairments by implementing memory care strategies for conditions like Alzheimer’s disease and dementia
• Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment
• Provide companionship and emotional support to foster social engagement and mental well-being
• Follow all safety protocols including CPR and first aid procedures to ensure client safety at all times

Qualifications

• Prior experience working in home health, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly desirable
