Part-Time Caregiver

Overview

Refined Home Care has immediate openings for caregivers based in Pinconning, MI. This is a part-time role which could potentially lead to full-time for the right candidate. Our caregivers provide support and assistance to individuals in their homes. This role is ideal for those passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring specialized care. The position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to work in diverse environments. Candidates should be committed to maintaining dignity, independence, and well-being of those they serve while adhering to all safety and privacy standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Provide medication reminders and administer medications following prescribed care plans
• Monitor and record patient observations to ensure health status is maintained or improved
• Support with meal preparation and/or feeding
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
• Operate assistive devices including Hoyer lifts and other mobility aids safely and effectively
• Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and social interaction
• Follow care plans meticulously while respecting each individual's preferences and needs
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and policies
• Recognize signs of medical emergencies or changes in condition and respond appropriately by notifying medical professionals or supervisors

Qualifications

• MUST have a driver's license, own vehicle, and proof of insurance
• Availability Sunday-Saturday
• Availability evenings and weekends if needed
• Prior experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia preferred
