Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor patients’ health status by checking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature
• Administer medications accurately following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations for confidentiality
• Support clients with meal preparation and nutritional needs to promote healthy living
• Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation
• Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment
• Use manual handling techniques and equipment like Hoyer lifts to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance
• Observe and report any changes in the resident’s condition or behavior to healthcare professionals or family members
• Assist with specialized care needs including dementia, Alzheimer’s, memory care, autism spectrum disorders, and neurodevelopmental disabilities
• Follow all safety protocols including first aid procedures, CPR certification standards, and infection control practices

Experience

• Prior experience working in home health care or long-term care settings is highly preferred
