We are a small assisted living home in Rockville, Maryland, caring for 4 residents, and we are seeking a compassionate and dependable female live-in caregiver to join our team. You will work closely with another live-in caregiver, rotating between day and night shifts according to the schedule.

Schedule

• 5 working days per week, 2 days off
• Day Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
• Night Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
• Day and night shifts are shared with the other live-in caregiver based on the work schedule.

When you are not assigned to the night shift, you may leave after completing your daytime duties. Free room and board are available for caregivers who choose to live on-site.

ResponsibilitiesDay Shift

• Prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner for residents
• Assist residents with personal hygiene
• Assist with bathing
• Assist with mobility and transfers
• Assist residents with toileting
• Perform light housekeeping and maintain a clean environment
• Welcome residents' family members and visitors
• Work cooperatively with the other caregiver to provide quality care

Night Shift

• Assist residents with evening hygiene
• Assist with mobility and toileting as needed
• Do residents' laundry
• Ensure residents' safety throughout the night, including fall prevention
• Promptly check on residents if unusual noises or concerns arise during the night
• If no assistance is needed, you may rest or sleep during the overnight shift.

This position involves caring for only 4 residents, and responsibilities are shared between two caregivers.

Qualifications

• Female caregiver
• Compassionate, patient, dependable, and responsible
• Fluent in Mandarin Chinese to communicate effectively with residents
• Previous caregiving or elder care experience preferred
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Ability to work well as part of a team
