NOC Shift Caregiver

Job Summary

As a NOC Shift Caregiver, you’ll provide attentive overnight support that helps residents stay safe, comfortable, and respected. You’ll assist with daily living, respond to changing needs, and keep shared spaces clean and welcoming. Your impact: Consistent, respectful care helps residents maintain dignity and gives families confidence that their loved ones are supported overnight.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, mobility, and safe patient lifting; follow manual handling practices and resident rights.
• Observe and report changes in condition, take vital signs as assigned, and support medication administration only as authorized and trained.
• Provide compassionate senior, dementia, Alzheimer’s, and memory care; use appropriate behavior management and clear client communication.
• Prepare meals, clean resident areas, and provide direct support according to care plans and overnight routines.
• Follow first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) procedures, including when responding to urgent needs; operate a standard passenger car when required.

Experience

• Caregiving experience in assisted living, nursing homes, long-term care, home care, home and community care, residential care homes, personal care homes, retirement homes, or group homes is relevant.
• Experience supporting older adults and individuals with developmental, cognitive, or other disabilities is valuable.
• Familiarity with ADLs, vital signs, medication administration, dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, meal preparation, cleaning, and behavior management is an asset.
• First aid and CPR knowledge, safe lifting practices, and the ability to handle physical tasks, including heavy lifting, are preferred.
• Bring a respectful, dependable approach and a commitment to residents’ safety, dignity, and individual needs.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
