Part time Compassionate Caregiver

Sunnyside Senior Living Inc is a residential community that staffs compassionate caregivers. We strive to bring purpose and high levels of engagement to our residents, and the root of our success comes from the amazing staff who work here.

As a caregiver you will be able to perform the following

· Be willing to proactively provide assistance with dignity and respect

· Assist as needed with urinary / bowel incontinence.

· Able to lift 50 lbs

· Provide assist with shower / bed bath

· Selecting clothing and dressing, combing hair, brushing teeth

· Placement of glasses / hearing aides

· Assist as needed at transfer / including utilizing a Hoyer lift

· Escort to meals and activities

· Assist with meal and snack as needed.

· Current CPR / First Aid certification – or the ability to obtain them

· General housekeeping / laundry services as assigned

· Be observant to any changes in a resident’s demeanor, or changes to the community; report observations immediately to the person in charge.

· Good communication skills

· The ability to clearly document daily observations and exceptions from what is expected.

· Be able to follow directions and be redirected to tasks that are reasonable for you to perform.

· Report for your scheduled shifts, and clock in / out for your breaks as required.

Along with assisted living and cognitively impacted residents, at Sunnyside Senior Living Inc you will have the additional opportunity to engage with residents that are receiving hospice services. This is a very rewarding experience, for staff as well as the resident and their support person(s).
