• Position Summary
• The Personal Care Aide Provides Direct personal care and assistance with activities of daily living to residents of the Oyster Bay Senior Campus, in accordance with each residents individualized service plan and under the supervision of professional staff.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with activities of daily living including-dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility.
• Personal care assistance which includes bathing, personal hygiene
• Provide companionship and basic emotional support
• Assist residents with meals, including-serving, set-up, and feeding assistance when needed.
• observing and reporting changes in residents' physical, mental, and emotional changes to supervisors.
• Documenting care provided in accordance with facility policies.
• Interacting with residents and families in a courteous, respectful, and resident-centered manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be a New York State Certified Personal Care Aide (PCA)
• Prior experience in an adult care facility, assisted living home care, or long-term care setting or memory care preferred.
• Ability to read and understand Individualized service plans and care instructions.
• Compassion, patience, and a commitment to resident dignity and quality of care.
• Physical ability to assist with transfers, lifting, and mobility as required by role.
• Ability to arrive timely with a self-driven and positive attitude
• Ability to interact with the Residents with respect and dignity
