Personal Care Aide

Overview

Looking for a PCA/HHA to assist clients in their home in the East Amherst/Clarence area. Must have daytime availability and reliable transportation.

What you’ll do

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' mental well-being.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning according to dietary needs.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
• Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers when necessary.
• Engage clients in social activities that promote cognitive function and emotional health.

Basic qualifications

• Experience in home health or assisted living settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality.
• Ability to assist clients with mobility challenges.

Preferred qualifications

• Certificate as a PCA or HHA
• Familiarity with memory care practices and dementia care strategies.

Pay: $18.65 - $19.00 per hour
