Private Caregiver

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Private Caregiver to provide personalized care and support to individuals in a private home or community setting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, home health, and senior or disability support, with a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve. As a Private Caregiver, you will be responsible for assisting with daily activities, monitoring health status, and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment while adhering to care plans and safety protocols.

Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using manual handling techniques like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe changes in health status to report to healthcare professionals promptly.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and preferences, ensuring proper meal planning and safety standards.
• Administer medications accurately according to prescribed care plans while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
• Support clients with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer’s disease by implementing memory care strategies and engaging in meaningful activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organization.
• Document care activities meticulously and update care plans regularly in collaboration with healthcare teams or family members.
• Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to ensure safe manual handling and mobility assistance.
