Private Caregiver

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Private Caregiver to provide personalized support and care to individuals in a home or community setting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, with experience working with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, and those requiring memory or dementia care. Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe for any changes in health status, promptly reporting concerns to healthcare professionals.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and preferences while maintaining proper food safety standards.
• Administer medication accurately according to prescribed care plans, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
• Support clients with cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer’s disease or dementia through memory care strategies and engaging activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry.
• Document care activities meticulously in accordance with healthcare protocols and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare teams.
• Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to ensure safe manual handling during transfers or mobility assistance.
