PRN Home Care Caregiver

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support and care to individuals in their own homes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of caregiving principles, including experience with assisted living and dementia care. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being.

Duties

• Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
• Monitor and record vital signs as needed, ensuring any changes are communicated to healthcare professionals.
• Assist clients with mobility and daily activities to promote independence.
• Observe patients for any changes in condition or behavior and report findings accurately.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Support individuals with developmental disabilities by fostering an inclusive and supportive atmosphere.
• Uphold resident rights while providing care, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
• Comply with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.

Requirements

• Previous experience in caregiving or assisted living environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of dementia care techniques is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with vital signs monitoring and basic medical knowledge is beneficial.
• Ability to prepare meals that meet nutritional guidelines for clients.
• Strong observational skills to recognize changes in client health or behavior.
• Understanding of resident rights and commitment to upholding them in practice.
• Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and families.
• Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
