Residential Children's Care Home Caregiver

Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Residential Children's Care Providers to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and care to children in a residential setting, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, along with a strong understanding of caregiving principles. Duties

• Assist children with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene management
• Monitor and record vital signs and health status regularly
• Administer medications as prescribed following proper protocols
• Support behavioral management strategies to promote positive behavior and emotional well-being
• Provide emotional support and engage children in age-appropriate activities to foster development
• Assist with meal preparation and ensure nutritional needs are met
• Use EMR systems for documentation of care activities and progress notes
• Maintain a clean and safe environment within the residence, including light cleaning duties
• Support mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary
• Drive children to appointments or activities as needed, ensuring safe transportation practices
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to coordinate care plans
• Follow all safety protocols related to assisted living, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and other specialized needs

Qualifications

• Prior experience in assisted living, long-term care, home & community care, or group home settings preferred
• Knowledge of children with special needs, behavioral issues, ADHD, Autism, ODD, Depression, Anxiety, Intermit explosive disorder, etc.
