Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
  • Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure residents’ health needs are met proactively.
  • Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document all medication administration in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Support residents with dementia or Alzheimer’s care by implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques to promote comfort and safety.
  • Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary guidelines while maintaining cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas.
  • Engage residents in social activities, group outings, or recreational programs to foster community involvement and mental stimulation.
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties, including cleaning resident rooms and common areas.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations with first aid or CPR when required, ensuring resident safety at all times.
  • Document care activities thoroughly and communicate effectively with team members to coordinate ongoing support plans.
  • Drive residents to appointments or community outings safely when needed, adhering to all safety protocols.
