Duties

  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using manual handling techniques and equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
  • Monitor patients’ vital signs, observe health status changes, and document findings accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs, including special diets for conditions such as dementia or allergies
  • Administer medications following prescribed care plans and ensure proper documentation of medication administration
  • Support residents with memory care needs, including Alzheimer’s and dementia care, utilizing specialized techniques to promote safety and comfort
  • Conduct patient observation to identify any health concerns or behavioral changes, communicating promptly with healthcare professionals or family members
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning tasks and adhering to infection control protocols in line with healthcare standards

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in assisted living environments
