Caregiver

Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to join our team in providing exceptional support to individuals in need of assistance. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by offering personalized care and support in various settings, including home care, assisted living facilities, and group homes. Your commitment to patient care and ability to work with diverse populations will be essential in this rewarding position.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, including light housekeeping tasks.
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
• Support individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's care, dementia care, and memory care needs.
• Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers when necessary.
• Document patient observations and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective care plans.

Skills

• First aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
• Experience in home health, hospice care, nursing homes, or long-term care settings is preferred.
• Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in client conditions.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility needs.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism is a plus.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and maintaining a hygienic environment.
