Duties

• Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor patients’ health by observing vital signs, medication administration, and overall condition to ensure safety and well-being
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
• Support residents with memory care needs such as Alzheimer’s or dementia by implementing specialized care plans and engaging in therapeutic activities
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within living spaces through regular cleaning and sanitation routines
• Use manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges
• Document care activities accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality

Skills

• Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable
• Strong patient observation skills to detect changes in health status promptly
• Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer’s, autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, and neurodevelopmental disorders
• Proficiency in medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and first aid including CPR certification
