Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe changes in health status to ensure timely intervention and communicate findings to healthcare professionals.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen.
• Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety and compliance.
• Support clients with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer’s disease through memory care techniques, patient observation, and engagement activities.
• Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient responses, and updates to care plans in accordance with healthcare regulations.
• Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and ensuring a safe living environment that promotes health and comfort.

Experience

• Prior experience working in home health, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, neurodevelopmental disorders, or intellectual disabilities.
