Duties

• Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote independence and hygiene.
• Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to support health assessments.
• Support residents with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care, utilizing specialized techniques to ensure safety and comfort.
• Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document all medication activities in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling equipment to ensure safe transfer and mobility assistance.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements while maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area.
• Engage residents in social activities, behavioral management strategies, and group programs to foster community involvement and mental stimulation.

Requirements

• Proven experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments.
• Knowledge of caring for individuals with developmental disabilities, geriatrics, dementia, or memory care needs.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as medication administration or behavior management are a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physical tasks involved in caregiving duties.
