Spanish Speaking Caregiver

Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining accurate medical documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
• Administer medications safely following home healthcare regulations and medical instructions
• Provide specialized care for patients with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or other cognitive impairments, including memory care techniques
• Support patients with catheter care, wound management, and end-of-life care in a respectful and empathetic manner
• Facilitate patient transfers using appropriate methods such as Hoyer lifts or transfer belts while ensuring safety protocols are followed
• Communicate effectively with clients and their families in Spanish to ensure understanding of care plans and address concerns promptly
• Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations and uphold the highest standards of privacy and security
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks like cleaning, laundry, cooking nutritious meals, and ensuring a safe living environment
• Support clients during emergencies by applying first aid or basic life support (BLS) techniques when necessary
