Caregiver

Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care, companionship, and daily living support. As a Caregiver, you will work closely with healthcare teams, families, and community resources to deliver personalized care that enhances quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents or patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
• Monitor and observe patient conditions, documenting changes in health status and reporting to healthcare professionals promptly
• Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and individual preferences, ensuring safety during meal preparation
• Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to maintain patient safety and confidentiality
• Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs safely during transfers and mobility support
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning patient areas and laundry
• Support patients with specialized needs including dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, autism support, or hospice care

Qualifications

• Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly desirable
• Knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities is a plus
• Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks consistently
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and families
• Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the lives of others
