Certified Nursing Assistant

Duties

• Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote comfort and independence
• Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature
• Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or memory impairments through tailored activities and compassionate support
• Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and other mobility aids safely to prevent injury and enhance patient comfort

Requirements

• Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in accordance with state regulations
• Experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals, nursing homes, hospice, or outpatient clinics
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS) procedures
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like PCC, etc. for efficient documentation and resident tracking
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities, developmental delays, or behavioral health needs
• Prior experience in geriatrics, memory care (including Alzheimer’s and dementia care), or post-acute/sub-acute settings is highly valued
