Home Health Aide

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to provide exceptional in-home care to clients with diverse needs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient well-being, with experience in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), managing medical documentation, and working within home healthcare regulations. Duties

• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
• Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Support medication administration following prescribed schedules while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and home healthcare regulations.
• Provide specialized care for patients with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or other cognitive impairments, including memory care strategies and behavioral management.
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.
• Support patients during end-of-life or hospice care with compassion and respect for their dignity and comfort.
• Document medical records thoroughly and accurately to ensure continuity of care and compliance with legal standards.
• Collaborate effectively with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care tailored to individual needs.

Experience

• Prior experience working as a Home Health Aide or in assisted living facilities is highly desirable.
