Home Health Aide

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to provide exceptional in-home care to individuals with diverse healthcare needs. This client is a 20-year-old male. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient well-being, demonstrate excellent caregiving skills, and have experience working with geriatric patients, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring specialized memory or hospice care. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients by supporting their health, safety, and independence within their homes. All positions are paid and require a professional approach to caregiving.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
• Administer medications as prescribed, following home healthcare regulations and ensuring proper documentation for medication administration.
• Perform vital signs assessments such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature checks to support ongoing health monitoring.
• Provide specialized care for clients with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or other memory-related conditions, including memory care techniques.
• Support end-of-life and hospice care needs with compassion, dignity, and respect for patient comfort.
• Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care or basic life support (BLS) when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks like laundry and meal preparation while adhering to infection control standards.
• Use EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems efficiently to document patient care activities accurately.
• Employ proper lifting techniques and utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to ensure safety during transfers.
