Duties

• Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor and observe patient conditions, noting changes in health status and reporting findings accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
• Administer medications following prescribed schedules and protocols, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to HIPAA guidelines
• Perform vital signs assessments such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to track patient health trends
• Support patients with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, hospice care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities
• Assist with medical procedures including catheter care, wound care, and basic life support (BLS) or CPR when necessary
• Provide light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe environment for patients
• Use assistive devices like Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids safely to prevent injury for both patient and caregiver
• Support end-of-life care with compassion and respect for patient dignity while coordinating with family members and healthcare teams
