Responsibilities

• Deliver attentive patient observation to monitor health status and report changes promptly.
• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using tools like Hoyer lifts.
• Administer medications accurately following medical documentation and medication schedules while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Take vital signs—including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration—and record findings in electronic health record (EHR) or electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Support patients with specialized care needs such as Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities.
• Perform home care duties including cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, cooking nutritious meals, and maintaining a safe environment.
• Manage medical procedures such as catheter care and assist with medical documentation to ensure accurate records of patient progress and treatments.
• Utilize medical terminology confidently when communicating with healthcare professionals and documenting patient information.
