Home Health Aide

Duties

• Monitor patient health by observing vital signs like blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; document findings accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
• Support medication administration following prescribed protocols while ensuring compliance with home healthcare regulations and HIPAA privacy standards
• Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments through tailored memory care techniques
• Assist with medical procedures including catheter care, wound dressing changes, and end-of-life hospice care as directed by healthcare providers
• Help with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and ensuring a safe living environment for clients
• Utilize assistive devices like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs safely to support patient mobility and prevent injury during transfers

Experience

• Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home healthcare environments is highly preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology and basic life support (BLS), including CPR certification
