In-home Caregiver

Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, medication adherence, and overall condition; report changes to healthcare professionals
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
• Support clients with medication administration following care plans and HIPAA privacy standards
• Use manual handling techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance
• Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping tasks like cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces
• Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering social engagement and mental stimulation
• Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations and care plans
• Assist with transportation to medical appointments or community activities as needed
• Support clients with specialized needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's, autism, or developmental disabilities through tailored approaches

Experience

• Prior experience working in home health, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to observe patients carefully and monitor vital signs accurately
