• Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, ensuring timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Support medication administration under the supervision of nursing staff, adhering strictly to HIPAA guidelines and aseptic techniques to maintain patient safety.
• Assist with specialized care needs such as catheter care, wound dressing changes, and infection control procedures following established protocols.
• Engage with residents using therapeutic communication techniques to promote mental well-being and provide companionship, especially for those with behavioral health or memory impairments.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a medical-surgical or long-term care environment to develop personalized care plans that meet each resident’s unique needs.
