Job Overview

We are seeking an exceptionally warm, gentle, and experienced Live-In Caregiver & Companion for an older woman living in her home in Eugene, Oregon.

Compensation is $6,000 per month, plus free housing and use of a vehicle. Weekends are off.

Our mother does best with people who take the time to listen to her, move at a comfortable pace, and approach caregiving with warmth, patience, and respect. We hope to find someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with older adults and who will develop a caring and trusting relationship with her.

This is a long-term position, and finding the right personality fit is extremely important to our family.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, compassionate companionship and emotional support
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care as needed, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and daily routines
• Provide mobility assistance and support with fall prevention and maintaining a safe home environment
• Assist with medication reminders, organization, and adherence to her established care plan
• Observe changes in health, behavior, mobility, or overall well-being and communicate any concerns promptly with family members and the care team
• Prepare three healthy, nutritious, home-cooked meals each day based on her preferences and dietary needs
• Encourage proper nutrition and hydration throughout the day
