Responsibilities

• Assist residents with medication administration in accordance with state healthcare regulations and facility policies, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to HIPAA standards.
• Support residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and hygiene to promote independence and dignity.
• Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates; report any abnormal findings promptly.
• Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral management strategies.
• Maintain accurate medical records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner; document all care provided thoroughly and promptly.
• Assist with tube feeding, catheter care, and other medical procedures under supervision or as trained.
• Follow safety protocols for manual handling and heavy lifting to prevent injury to residents and staff alike.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (CPR) is essential.
