Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using manual handling techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs, observe health status, and report changes to healthcare professionals in accordance with HIPAA regulations and care plans.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and preferences, ensuring safety and adherence to health guidelines.
• Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document all medication administration in compliance with HIPAA standards.
• Support clients with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer’s disease through memory care strategies and engagement activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that address specific needs related to neurodevelopmental disorders, intellectual disabilities, or geriatrics.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working as a caregiver in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments.
• Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication management, and vital signs monitoring.
