OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated PRN - Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team and provide essential patient care in a hospice setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various care environments, including long-term care, hospital, and home care, with a focus on enhancing patient comfort and well-being. This role offers flexible scheduling to meet the needs of our patients and support our mission of compassionate end-of-life care.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
• Monitor and record vital signs accurately, ensuring timely communication of changes to the nursing team.
• Support medication administration under supervision, adhering strictly to HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families, fostering a caring environment.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment by following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
• Assist with specialized care needs including Alzheimer's, dementia, memory care, and behavioral health support.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams utilizing EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid CNA certification with current licensure in the state.
