Duties

• Provide comprehensive patient care, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques
• Monitor and observe patients’ conditions closely, recording vital signs and noting changes in health status to inform care plans
• Administer medications accurately following prescribed instructions while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality
• Assist with meal preparation tailored to dietary needs and support residents during mealtimes to promote proper nutrition
• Support residents with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer’s disease through memory care techniques and specialized dementia care strategies
• Maintain cleanliness of residents’ living spaces by performing cleaning duties in accordance with health standards
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans that address specific needs of residents with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders
• Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts safely during transfers and manual handling procedures to prevent injury
