Certified Nursing Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team for the 7:00am-7:00pm Saturday & Sunday shift. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in a home based assisted living facility. This role involves assisting patients with daily activities such as grooming and eating, monitoring their health, medication assistance, engaging in daily activities, and housekeeping duties. and ensuring they receive the highest level of care.

Duties

• Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
• Provide basic patient care under the supervision of nursing staff, including glucose chekcs and medication administration.
• Support patients with mobility needs using equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
• Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient status and needs.
• Assist in the implementation of care plans for patients with diverse needs including those requiring memory care or hospice services.
• Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance caregiving skills.

Qualifications

• CNA certification preferred but not necessary.
• Medication aid certification huge plus and will adjust pay for this certification.
• Previous experience in an assisted living facility or nursing home preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as EPC.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and vital signs monitoring is essential.
