Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents or clients, fostering social engagement and mental stimulation.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance using manual handling techniques or equipment like Hoyer lifts.
• Support medication management by observing patient conditions and reporting any concerns to healthcare professionals.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs, including special diets for dementia or Alzheimer's care.
• Conduct patient observation to monitor vital signs, behavior changes, or signs of distress, ensuring timely intervention if necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning living areas and assisting with laundry to promote a hygienic environment.
• Follow care plans meticulously while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Support residents with cognitive impairments by implementing memory care strategies and assisting with orientation tasks.
• Engage in home & community care activities that promote independence and social participation outside the facility when applicable.
