Experienced caregiver

Overview

Responsibilities

• Assist residents or patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques.
• Monitor and observe patients’ conditions closely, documenting vital signs, changes in behavior, or health status in accordance with care plans and HIPAA regulations.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption to ensure proper nutrition.
• Administer medications accurately following prescribed instructions and document medication administration records diligently.
• Support residents with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer’s disease through memory care strategies and personalized engagement activities.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing regular cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop, implement, and update personalized care plans that reflect each individual’s unique needs and goals.

Requirements

• Proven experience working as a caregiver in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings.
