Home Health Aide

Duties

• Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining detailed medical documentation
• Support medication administration in accordance with medical instructions and HIPAA guidelines
• Provide specialized care for patients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments, including memory care techniques
• Assist with catheter care, wound care, hospice support, and other complex medical procedures as trained
• Use Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to document patient interactions accurately and securely
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping tasks like cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe and comfortable environment
• Operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices safely during patient transfers
• Support clients with developmental disabilities or those requiring long-term care by implementing personalized care plans
• Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times during patient visits, including first aid and basic life support procedures when necessary
