Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote comfort and dignity
• Monitor and observe patients’ conditions, noting changes in health status and reporting findings accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
• Support medication administration following prescribed protocols while maintaining strict adherence to home healthcare regulations and HIPAA privacy standards
• Perform vital signs assessments including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to track health trends
• Provide specialized care for clients with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or other memory impairments, including memory care techniques and behavioral management strategies
• Assist with mobility using tools such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to ensure safe transfers and prevent falls
• Support hospice and end-of-life care by offering emotional support, managing symptoms, and ensuring comfort in accordance with care plans
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation to maintain a safe living environment
