Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor patients’ health status by observing vital signs and overall condition, reporting any concerns promptly
• Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary requirements and preferences, ensuring safety and proper nutrition
• Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality and compliance
• Support clients with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer’s by implementing memory care strategies and engaging activities
• Use manual handling techniques and equipment like Hoyer lifts to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance
• Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient observations, medication administration, and progress notes in compliance with privacy standards

Skills

• Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or aging populations in settings such as group homes, assisted living facilities, or nursing homes
• Strong patient observation skills to detect changes in health status or behavior promptly
• Knowledge of infection control practices including cleaning protocols and basic first aid procedures
