Live-In Caregiver

Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using manual handling techniques like Hoyer lifts when necessary
• Monitor and observe patients’ conditions, including vital signs, medication adherence, and overall health status to ensure safety and well-being
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining proper food safety standards
• Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy
• Support clients with cognitive impairments by implementing memory care strategies for dementia or Alzheimer’s patients and providing engaging activities to promote mental stimulation
• Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient observations, and any incidents in compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA
• Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning client living spaces to ensure a safe and hygienic environment
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to develop or update personalized care plans that meet each client’s unique needs
• Assist with transportation or accompany clients to appointments, community activities, or social outings to promote social engagement and independence
